Reviews:

Primary Times
"The story contains all the elements required to make it successful and appeal to children, exploring children's emotions, family ties and relationships, influential grandparents, and of course a great plot, with magic, flying horses, trolls, and transporting through the computer."

Sheena Baggley
"Two children born in the enigma of folklore and myth - this debut book of grandmother Lia Ginno is both engaging and bewitching and obviously deemed to be a best selling story"

The adventure –

Katelin is just another thirteen-year-old Peruvian girl with her fair share of problems, however these are no ordinary troubles of a teenager!

She has powerful ancient crystals in her possession, which an evil wizard is trying to obtain to destroy our world!   But she gives the magical stones to her Grandfather and stepbrother, Calum, in England, and they are able to programme a laptop into a teleporting device.

The evil wizard kidnaps Katelin’s Mother hoping to exchange her for the crystals but Calum manages to rescue her and in doing so they both discover who they are and that they both have extraordinary supernatural abilities.   In a battle to save our dimension, will their special gifts be enough?   As they realize it is no longer a game – could their fears mean our world will be lost?

Chapter five:

Nana suddenly appeared in the corner of the studio, luckily behind a large plant.   Gregg was seeing to a customer at the front of the studio.   Nobody else was in the shop.   Nana, indeed felt like Mary Poppins, she had felt as though she had been flying, but only for the briefest tic of the clock then here she was.   She took a step.   Fine, then another, well she seemed to be satisfactory.   She straightened her dress, just as Gregg turned round;

Chapter nine:

He gave one flap and before they knew it they were flying upwards into the blue sky.
" Normal," Calum squeaked as they flew above the trees and chimney pots, all three wobbling. " What part," thought Calum, was normal 'about any of this' including the appearance of the beast they was riding on?

Chapter twelve:

The skull possesses vast powers of knowledge and is far beyond our
comprehension and these skulls are called 'Christ minds.' They are very old and from a race superior to us, from enlightened civilized beings from outer space.

Chapter fifteen:

His humming turned to a screech and almost immediately TWENTY warriors appeared (he wanted to be sure) behind the creatures.

Chapter sixteen:

The wizard's eyes were as black as coal and they were like two empty holes. Suddenly he flung out a finger towards Calum and a blue lightening streak hit him across his chest and pushed him spinning and revolving backwards until he hit the granite of one of the standing stones. He slipped unconscious to the ground without a sound.
